As per the new guidelines from the government, HSRP (High Security Number Plate) and a sticker indicating the type of fuel ( Petrol, Diesel, Petrol + CNG, LPG, Electric) and carrying details of the laser code of both the number plates along with the registration number and the date of issue.
Vehicles not carrying these number plates and color coded stickers will lead to hefty penalties under the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 and the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 as per the Delhi Transport Department.
Where can you book the number plate and sticker from?
In order to book the sticker, log onto www.bookmyhsrp.com and proceed with the details as per your vehicle, keep the Registration Certificate handy and laser code on the number plates (laser code only if you are booking the sticker).
Cost of booking HSRP and sticker?
Cost breakup shown here covers for the fitment of the number plate and the sticker at one of the authorized dealer for the respective Make of the vehicle for which an appointment needs to be made prior as per the available date and time slot.
If you want the HSRP and the sticker to be delivered to your address, you need to pay for an extra premium of Rs. 250/-

What is the color code of the sticker?
For all the Petrol and Petrol+CNG vehicles, blue color sticker is allotted whereas diesel vehicles bear an "Orange" color sticker. For the EVs, grey color sticker has been allotted, thus helping to differentiate among them all.
